{"id":1216,"date":"2024-01-29T13:08:23","date_gmt":"2024-01-29T13:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vibrantick.in\/news\/?page_id=1216"},"modified":"2024-01-30T05:47:39","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T05:47:39","slug":"%e0%a4%aa%e0%a4%82%e0%a4%9c%e0%a4%be%e0%a4%ac","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vibrantick.in\/news\/%e0%a4%aa%e0%a4%82%e0%a4%9c%e0%a4%be%e0%a4%ac\/","title":{"rendered":"\u092a\u0902\u091c\u093e\u092c"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t spend on publicity, buy more buses: Punjab LoP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chandigarh, January 28<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the PRTC and Punbus Employees Union refused to ferry more than 52 passengers in buses, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday exhorted the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government to add more buses to the fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said employees unions of the PRTC and Punbus had been on a strike against the Central Government\u2019s hit-and-run law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been recklessly spending crores of rupees to ferry his master and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on aircraft from one state to another. Apart from that, the government has earmarked Rs 750 crore per annum budget for its publicity. However, it seems to have least bothered about the inconvenience faced by the people daily basis\u201d, Bajwa added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said it is illegal to ferry more than 52 passengers in the bus and the fine is Rs 2,000, yet the overloaded buses are often seen on the road. Overloaded buses were one of the main causes of accidents and it is drivers, who bear the brunt of the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said despite the announcement, the AAP government failed to open 112 Aam Aadmi Clinics on January 26 because the state has been reeling under the acute fund crunch.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/vibrantick.in\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/download-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1289\" style=\"width:825px;height:535px\" width=\"825\" height=\"535\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The police should not stop any vehicle for checking during the rush hours of morning and evening. CCTVs are doing very well when it comes to checking violations. When traffic lights are not operational, traffic cops should regulate the traffic. On each and every traffic light and roundabouts, traffic marshals may be deployed to put an end to corruption and harassment by traffic police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deploy more cops to manage traffic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More traffic cops should be deputed during peak hours for smooth movement of the vehicles on various crossings on the Zirakpur-Chandigarh road. It should be ensured that two-wheelers and four-wheelers move in separate lanes.
